Mammoth site in Waco recommended as a national monument

Waco, Texas holds the site of the largest known concentration of mammoths perishing in the same event (thought to have been a mudslide 68,000 years ago). The site was recently recommended by the Department of the Interior for inclusion in the National Park Service as a national monument.
