Assuming I am reading this right maybe it should be;
"This is not a guide to writing. While a resource supporting volunteer documentation writers for open source projects may be needed, it is outside the scope of this model."
I'm assuming that volunteer documentation writers for open source projects are welcome if they're here for a guide that will help them be consistent with other projects in writing documentation.
