Transformation style sheets

By default, DocBook has style sheets which make functional PDFs. But they aren't necessarily elegant or beautiful. In an attempt to make open source books look prettier, and more legible, I propose tackling the problem at the style sheet level. If you've created style sheets you would like to share, please add them here (with a screen shot of their output).

Proposed Ubuntu Documentation Style Sheets

For DocBook documents. Requires the Apache FOP 0.95 toolchain (available in Ubuntu 9.04 or "easily" compiled from source).

In an XSL transformation, an XSLT processor reads both an XML document and an XSLT style sheet. Based on the instructions the processor finds in the XSLT style sheet, it outputs a new XML document or fragment thereof. There's also special support for outputting HTML. Style sheets are mostly used for desktop publishing and word processing programs. Most programs allow users to select the text with their mouse and then click on the desired style in the style sheet window. Keep posting your views on style sheets.
